2018 Town Election & Meeting

The following are being provided to you per RSA Chapter 32, Municipal Budget Law, Section 32:5, Preparation of Budgets:

In preparation for the upcoming March 13, 2018 Town Election, the ensuing information is being provided:

The following people have declared their candidacy for the Town offices that are open for 2018:  Library Trustee (one 3-year term): Lawreen “Lawre” Murphy; Selectperson (one 3-year term): Edward Cherian; Moderator (one 2-year term): Charles R. Niebling; Town Clerk (one 3-year term): Cheryl Mitchell; Treasurer (one 1-year term): Paula Dill “Scrivens”.
The following offices are also open and will require “write-ins” on the ballot: Cemetery Trustee (one 3-year term), Library Trustee (one 3-year term), and Trustee of the Trust Funds (one 3- year term).

Testing of the Accuvote ballot counting machine will take place in the Town Clerk’s office at 2pm on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. 

Absentee Ballots will be cast beginning at 2pm.

Elections in Boscawen take place at the Town Hall - 14 High Street at the Routes 3 & 4 split.  Polls are open between the hours of 7am and 7pm

The 2018 Annual Town Meeting will commence immediately following complete ballot tabulation, and will be held in the cafeteria/gymnasium at Boscawen Elementary School, 1 B.E.S.T. Avenue.

PLEASE NOTE: The deadline to register to vote at the Town Clerk’s office for any election is 10 days prior to that particular election. After that, you will be able to register at Elections on Election Day.
