Public Hearings Notice - Community Development Block Grant Project

The Boscawen Board of Selectmen will hold three consecutive public hearings on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 5:30 p.m., at the Town Offices, 116 North Main Street, Boscawen, New Hampshire. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are available to municipalities through the NH Community Development Finance Authority. Up to $500,000 annually is available for Economic development projects; up to $500,000 for public facility and housing projects; up to $500,000 in emergency grants; and up to $12,000 is available for each planning grant. All projects must primarily benefit low and moderate income persons. The subjects of the public hearings are as follows:

  1. A proposed CDBG application to the Community Development Finance Authority for up to $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds to be used for water system improvements at Woody Hollow Manufactured Housing Cooperative, a 30 unit manufactured housing park located at 100 Elm Street in Boscawen. The majority of the residences in the park are of low or moderate income.
  2. Housing and Community Development Plan,
  3. And Residential AntiDisplacement and Relocation Assistance Plan.
