Administrative Assistant/Municipal Clerk - 32 Hours per week (part time)

The Town of Boscawen is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player able to work within a diversified environment.

Professional appearance and phone etiquette with excellent communication skills working with the public and coworkers required. Strong technical skills (Microsoft office suite, word processing, data entry and retrieval, other computer skills) a plus.

To perform general administrative and support functions for the office including but not limited to, serving as back up for the central receptionist of the Municipal Office and directing members of the public to appropriate staff or service. Maintaining files, preparing paperwork, running reports, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, copying/faxing/scanning materials. Receiving, sorting and distributing Town correspondence to appropriate staff. Serves as a municipal agent for the Town; vehicle agent, dog licensing, vital records, and elections. Provides back up assistance with weekly Board of Selectmen meetings minutes.

Ideal candidates should have a minimum of one - three years of applicable work experience, though willing to train the right candidate. Salary range: $15.04 – $19.63 Hourly Rate.
